Our Mares

We pride ourselves on the select, high quality mares we have in our breeding program.  They have been chosen based on their temperaments, rideability, conformational correctness and expressive gaits.  Below you can find details on our lovely mares, and our upcoming breeding plans.

Keauxmanda

Keauxmanda is a 2015 imported Dutch Warmblood mare by Ferdeaux out of an Uphill / Zeoliet mare.  Her full pedigree can be found here.  "Ferry's" sire is the small tour winner Ferdeaux, who is the son of top dressage horse producer and Grand Prix competitor Bordeaux.  Ferdeaux has made his mark as a KWPN breeding stallion, having sired four licensed sons so far, including World Young Horse Championship finalist Las Vegas,  who also topped his KWPN performance test with 90 points!  Ferry's dam Domanda is by the Grand Prix sire Uphill and is a half-sister to the small tour mare Emanda.

Ferry is 17 hands and is a beautiful, leggy mare with three top gaits.  Her walk has wonderful swing with good over-track, the trot is supple and always uphill and the canter is ground-covering with an active hindleg.  As wonderful as her gaits are, her temperament is phenomenal.  She is quiet in the barn, always easy to work around and very brave.  Under-saddle you can go days without riding her and pick her back up without missing a beat.  We feel so lucky to have this amazing mare in our barn.  She's had four wonderful foals so far, including a terrific  2023 filly by For Dance (For Romance / Rubiloh).

Zabella

Zabella2020 crop_edited.jpg

Zabella is a 2004 Dutch Warmblood mare by Olympic Ferro out of a Fleming / Calypso mare.  Her full pedigree can be found here.  Her sire  Ferro was part of the Dutch team that was placed second at the 1998 World Equestrian Games, at the 1999 European Championships and at the 2000 Olympic Games.  He has produced numerous licensed stallions, including Rousseau, Negro, Metall and Rhodium.  Zabella's dam is the KWPN ster preferent mare Nirvana, who has produced five FEI dressage horses by five different sires.  This includes Zabella's full brother Undercover who competed at I1 with his amateur owner.

Zabella is 16.1+ hands and is a lovely, feminine mare with a gorgeous head and neck.  At her Hanoverian mare inspection she received 8's for conformation, typiness and correctness of gaits.  In addition to her gaits being correct, she has an active walk, elastic trot and an impressive uphill, ground-covering canter.   She has a very sweet temperament and loves to be around people.   Prior to a pasture injury as a young horse, she was competing in recognized dressage shows, and as a testament to her character took a junior rider to her first recognized shows with scores in the mid-70's.  She's had four  fantastic foals previously, including a lovely filly in 2023 by Epic Eastwood (Escolar / De Niro).

Va Lida

"Lida" is a future broodmare for our program.  She is a homebred 2021 Westfalen filly by Viscerado (Viscount x Raphael) out of Kaiya (Maxamillion x Q.Eurosport).  Being a buckskin pinto she brings some fun color to our program.  She has a versatile pedigree, that has consistently shown to produce good movers and athletic jumpers.  Her sire got a final score of 9.19 with emphasis on jumping at his 50 day test.  He received a 9.0 for his ground covering uphill canter, his excellent manner allowed him to get a 9.5 for his work attitude and rideability, with an overall impression score of a perfect 10 points. Lida's dam Kaiya is currently competing at 2nd level dressage and previously competed successfully at Training level eventing.  We anticipate Lida finishing over 17 hands, and plan to start her under saddle as a 3 year old.  We look forward to breeding her in the future and seeing what she produces.
